Bergamot Station Arts Center

We began re-imagining Bergamot Station in 1994, and deeply understand its creative, global-local (glocal) potential. From the start, we emphasized the connection between the arts complex and the greater community.
Bergamot served as a passenger railway station from 1875 through 1953, taking its name from a wildflower that once flourished in the area. Freight delivery continued through the 1980s, as light manufacturers occupied and altered buildings previously used for car storage. Then the station fell into disuse.
