Jane B. Eisner Middle School Camino Nuevo

Our historic adaptive reuse of a 1920’s PacBell service building into a new middle school reclaimed and restored this neighborhood landmark, benefiting the students and local community.

The main building consists of three large bays with brick perimeter and demising
walls, concrete slab floors and wood bow string truss/wood framed roof.
Extensive structural upgrades and rehabilitation to the interior and exterior of the building was completed, in addition to the building receiving all new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and lighting systems.
Adjacent to the main building is a large open service lot that was improved for playgrounds and gatherings. We also incorporated a dual use multipurpose assembly and meeting room that will serve both the school and surrounding community.
The exterior walls are painted cement plaster with steel windows, large wood garage type doors surrounded by decorative cast stone Churrigueresque style facades.
