ABOUT YOU

Working closely with the Partners, you will play a leading role in ensuring FF&P’s continued success as a practice by proactively strategizing for and participating in our seller-doer-oriented business development efforts. You will also oversee our marketing/PR team, collaborating on developing the strategy behind our various initiatives and project pursuits. You will support our RFP production by helping delegate work assignments and maintain alignment with FF&P’s mission, design sensibility and philosophy of practice.

Our BD Leader should possess experience-driven insight into the workings of the AEC industry, be self-motivated and have an entrepreneurial spirit, cultivate and maintain a strong professional network, and have a knack for strategic thinking.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the partners to determine strategies to meet firmwide goals
  • Seek and identify business opportunities for the firm that can deepen our existing market sector expertise and strategically expand it
  • Organize, plan, schedule, and manage the firm’s BD efforts. Mentorship and accountability for follow-through are crucial.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, teaming partners, and industry and community influencers inside and outside the firm. Represent the firm at the highest level to clients, peer organizations, and business associates
  • Work with appropriate team members to create and execute a winning strategy for all marketing pursuits; ensure our RFP collateral aligns with our client’s identity and objectives, has told a compelling story in response, and has identified the appropriate benefits and differentiators

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture design, Communications, Journalism, Business or Marketing
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role at a leadership level in an architecture, engineering, construction or design firm
  • Recommended: CPSM certification (or pursuit of certification)
  • Excellent research, communications (speaking, writing, editorial), and project management skills. Strong graphics skills a plus
  • Software: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); Unanet (CRM systems); Familiarity with social media platforms (including data analytics) a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Enthusiasm for FF&P, passion for the work, and a positive, easygoing attitude
